Since meeting my teacher Andrew Cohen just over a year ago, I've devoted myself to a growing passion for the evolution of consciousness and to an ongoing exploration of what it actually means to consciously evolve.  I'm growing more convinced by the day that our future depends on more and more people engaging in this exploration and then coming together to create a new culture and a new world out of what we discover in the boundless realms of our own consciousness.  Since meeting Andrew, enlightenment, that coveted crown jewel of spiritual attainment, has become a living reality in my life rather than a far off and mysterious goal to be achieved sometime in the future.  I've begun to understand more deeply who I am and why I am here in this incarnated form and I've discovered a passion for deep and authentic engagement with others who are finding this out as well.  Why are we here, you ask?  To evolve consciousness.   What else could we possibly be here for? 

So, my biggest passion in life is about participating with others in the creation of a truly enlightened culture and then finding out what kind of new world can emerge out of such a culture; how can we get over our individual egos enough that we can come together beyond separation and conflict for the purpose of evolving consciousness in ways that open up  new worlds of possibility and potential.  I can't think of a more exciting, more meaningful, and more necessary purpose than this.  It's an interest which has completely dwarfed and overshadowed any of the personal interests and hobbies I've had in the past and one which has literally opened up a world of creativity, purpose and joy which I'd always hoped was possible, but had never quite found in all my years of seeking. 

Right now I'm in the middle of a masters degree program in Conscious Evolution (what else?!), probably the only one of its kind, which is coordinated by several of Andrew's more senior students.  We've been studying the evolution of consciousness through the lenses of science, art, philosophy, psychology, history, and literature in the effort to understand more deeply where we've come from, who we are and where we're trying to go as individuals and as the collective expression of consciousness know as the human race.  Looking at all of these seemingly separate fields of human knowledge and expression from the perspective of consciousness connects it all in ways that I never knew they could be connected and has opened up an interest in me in fields of knowledge I'd never dreamed I'd find interesting. It's like looking at the whole history of human development and knowledge from the inside out in a way that makes it so real and so relevant to my life and to this moment in time that I am an expression of.  So, I'm finding it's true what they say; that everything is united in consciousness.   What would it be like if this kind of education were made available to everyone?  What if the traditional liberal arts education were to be taught in this context and from this perspective?  It would literally transform every aspect of the humanities and of our very understanding of what it means to be human.  This is part of my vision for the future; one in which human beings emerge out of the present ignorance and confusion and once again find their place and their purpose in the cosmic dance of life, awakening to a radically new understanding of where we came from and why we're here. 

I hope this will serve as general introduction to what I'm about.  Not a lot of personal details I know, but frankly I consider them relatively unimportant in light of the above.
